Pamela Bergman-Swartz – Having Hard Conversations and Making Tough Decisions
Pamela Bergman-Swartz is Owner, Managing Partner of Pam & Carson Real Estate Group. In 2010 Pam decided to get her Real Estate License to afford her the flexibility to provide long-distance caregiving for her father while going through a divorce from a long-standing marriage. Caregiving for her father led her on a 13-year journey of dealing with the myriad of issues of caring for an aging parent. After the passing of her father, Pam realized there were many others like herself who are caregiving for a spouse and/or loved one, doing it alone, trying to find the resources of whom to turn to for answers to difficult questions and resources. This passion led Pam to obtain her Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation through the National Association of Realtors. Today, Pam helps individuals and families with all the overwhelming details of transitioning a loved one from the family home of many years to a new living arrangement. Pam is highly respected in her field and continues to be an advocate for our aging population. Pam’s signature “Rightsizing” seminars have been presented throughout the Inland Empire in Senior Living Communities, Senior Centers, and to hundreds of seniors and their families on the importance of being prepared for life-changing events.
Pam’s experience also spans 30 years in a family-run commercial construction business, 10 years in commercial agri-business banking, 3 years working in the Legal Department for a National Brand and as a Labor Relations Specialist. Pam has a degree in Paralegal Studies and enjoys writing. She has written articles on the topic of caregiving and aging issues for a local community paper.
Pam serves on the Board of Directors for AgingNext, a 43 year old local non-profit who has been serving mature adults aging in place with non-medical programs and services.
